Kathy's May Biscornu with an attitude!

For May I decided to stitch up Barbara Ana's "Frogscornu" biscornu, and used a Silkweaver Solo I had in the stash. It looked "swampy" to me! I love the look of "frog scorn" on his face, and hope he scares away the frogs that visit way too frequently!

Hi Everyone

The biscornu's are looking fantastic I am loving the different colours and especially all the different beads which have been used in the centres and cannot wait to see the combined results at the end of the year, everyone is doing so well.

I have set up an exchanging blog called Stitch it and Pass it on , if anyone would be interested in joining, details are on the blog.

Remember if anyone has any problems or questions or would like to join this blog, I am still about monitoring.

Happy Stitching

Belated post! Kathy's March and April biscornu!

I have been very busy with house repairs/painting and finally got to post pics of my last two biscornu for March and April. May is in the works as I write.

For March I stitched the Winter Wonderland Biscornu from Cat's Whiskers and Dinky-Dyes.

For April, it was the Luna Park Biscornu from Dinky-Dyes as well.

Kell's May Biscofleur

Design: Blackwork Biscofleur by Kell Smurthwaite, Kincavel Krosses
Materials: White 14-count aida; DMC 310 floss; black tassel; black ribbon; soft toy stuffing

I thought I'd give a 15-faced biscofleur a try as I'd made a regular 15-sided biscornu before, but admired the "tulip" shape of the biscofleur. It was a lot simpler to put together than I had thought it would be.

I designed five blackwork faces and stitched three of each, with the exception of the fifth design, of which I stitched only two and replaced the third with a simple blackwork border around my name and the date.

The designs will shortly be available for download on my design blog (click on Kincavel Krosses above).
