I haven't been well for a couple of weeks so I want to tell you all that I just read all the posts I've missed and I love your May biscornus but I'm not going to comment individually as I usually do, as I'm still not up to par. I really do enjoy all the different biscornu and different interpretations, especially when we see more than one of the same design. Keep up the good work all.

I have finished my May Biscornu (by Mamigoz) but my camera is off on a fishing trip. I had hoped it would be back by this evening but no such luck, so because I want it in the May postings please accept this post as notice and as soon as the camera comes home (hopefully tomorrow) I'll edit this and add the picture.

Edit to add: Well the camera made it home -- even if the car didn't. The boys had car trouble and will have to go back to northern Minnisota to bail the car out of a garage sometime this week, sigh. Anyway, here is my May Biscornu.

White 20 ct hardanger scrap, DMC

Now I have to tell you, the original design has three colors and there are many more stitches. When I started this I just kept loving how well the black on white looked and when it came time to put in the other colors I just couldn't do it. I like it this way, so why go further. So, if you go looking for the chart be aware it does not look like this. And since I used a scrap of 20 ct fabric it's rather small too, another reason not to add more stitches. I haven't decided if I want to add a small button on the side with the four little squares or not, what do you think?

Tigerin81's May Biscornu

This time I'm almost late. But here in the eastern US it is still May 31st.

My May biscornu is a beautiful design 'Lavender biscornu' by The Sweetheart Tree.
Stitched with DMC rayon, cotton, beads of different sizes and colors. Decorated with tassels and beaded edges.

Olga's May Biscornu

Here's my biscornu. This is a design by Olga Teague called Russian Motif. I enjoyed stitching this one!!

Rosemary's May Biscornu

Didn't think I'd make it this month but here it is. Design by "Chessie & Me". Fabric is 28ct cashel, threads are by Weeks overdye. This was lots of fun to make because of some different stitches. I dedicated this one to a local arboretum. The flowers remind be of peony's.

Svetalilu’s May biscornu

Here is my May biscornu – Summer flowers.

Design from The Gift of Stitching made by Lody Steward of Timber Greek Needlworks.
Fabric: Aida 14 count.
Thread: DMC 319, 902, 963, 3806, 3839. Glass beads.

Antonina's (lovebiser) May Biscornu

I like cornflowers very much! So when I found this pattern I decided that I want to have such a beautiful Biscornu with them. It was some tricky to find suitable buttons, so I went to check a few shops for them. I like what I found and the result, I guess these buttons are fit very nice!

Allie's May Biscornu

Once again I used a scrap of fabric, a part used skein of floss and a free chart (it came from I just love using things that I have lying around to create pretty little things.

Trillium's May Biscornu

This is on 28 ct. tea-colored linen. It is part of a chart for an herb pillow from the book "Country Garden Cross Stitch," by Jane Iles.

Gabys May Biscornu

Very simple but stitched with leftover threads just as they come out of the glass;-))
It´s a challenge idea from Joan Pavlick from Sapphirestitching.

Sonda's May Biscornu

Here's this month's biscornu, Buzzing Around Biscornu. I stitched it on a 32 ct. evenweave of some light blue color using the recommended threads. I think I got the free pattern off of Cyberstitchers. I really like the cuteness of it. It's very spring-like for me.

Terry's May Biscornu & Her Basket of Biscornus

Whew! I just made it! I got side tracked with having to make a teacher's gift for the end of the year. Anyway, my May Biscornu is done on 28 CT Blended Needle Periwinkle Puffs. The design is a pot of flowers from the leaflet 36 Easy Bread Cloths by Deborah A. Lambein. Took me longer to stitch, but I love it. Nice and spring-y for the month of May.

And this is my Basket of Biscornus at the time. I've got some other stitching in it as well that I've done from years past. This is a glass blown bowl that I picked up from a local glass blowing shop (yes, they do this on the premises) in Grapevine, Texas.

Hazel's May biscornu

Well after taking two months off from Biscornu... here is my May one! The design is from Aunt's Attic and I used some Oliver Twist thread that Tracy sent me as a gift.

Kathy's May Biscornu

Here is my May Biscornu, a design from Casey Buonaugurio Designs called the Frog Biscornu!
Fabric is a green Silkweaver Solo 32ct lugana, threads are DMC, and buttons are from Just Another Button Company. Pictures are before and after assembly...I just love the way the frogs are eying that bug in the middle!

Suzanne's May Biscornu

My youngest daughter has been such a handful the last two months. She had had several tummy upsets and has had a lot of trouble sleeping. Then we had issues introducing solids. I haven't had a lot of time for stitching, so I missed stitching my March and April biscornu. I did get my May one stitched as I gave it to my mum for Mother's Day.

Design: Summer Flowers Sewing Set - Biscornu
Designer: Lody Steward (Gift of Stitching Magazine, Issue 31 August 2008)
Fabric: 28ct Lugana - Antique White
Thread: DMC
Finish: Biscornu

Olia's(hohla) May Biscornu

I thought of a biscornu to stitch in may. And i decided to paint it myself - and stitch it.
So that's what may biscornu looks like.
The scheme could be found in my Olia's(hohla) blog.

Here are all five biscornues:

Sonda's April Biscornu

Cat Lover's Biscornu by the Sweetheart Tree
Stitched using provided materials from kit.

I hope you will all forgive me the late post...this was truly finished on April 26, but this last week was finals week for me and then I worked a 12 hour shift last night, so no posting until today.
