Unveiling the disguised biscornu

It seems I didn't have to post a blurred version of my March biscornu as it arrived in plenty of time to show it to you. Here is my first 15 sided Super Biscornu.
Freebie Blackwork Biscornu
Stitch Creations

I did not fully stitch one of the panels so I could get my signature in. It's soooooo tiny, I just loved it.
1 over 1 signature

The first photo shows the true colors. I had a really hard time putting this in the mail to Spain, now I have got to do another one! Hope you like it and thanks for looking. I also wanted to say that I am enjoying seeing all the beautiful biscornu done by the blog members! You are all so creative it is truly inspiring. Can't wait for April!!

Gads, forgot to add: stitched on a Ziewgart tan linen with WDW Rust floss, some tortoiseshell beads left over from a previous project and an antique faux–leather button on each side from Mom's button box.

Kathy's March Biscornu

Here is my March biscornu finally! I've been working on a larger piece and got done with time to spare for this month's biscornu....this is from Cross Stitch Happy and is a freebie called Roberta's Cats Scissor Fob. I made some changes in color (all of them actually!) and made it a biscornu by leaving off the stitched cat on the back and using a mouse button instead for the center. It's only about 2 inches across...tiny! The front has a green crystal bicone. I don't know why the last pic is rotated, but you get the idea!

Sonda's March Biscornu

I stitched this on white linen from stash. It is a freebie from The Workbasket called March Quaker and I received it in a newsletter from my LNS a couple years ago. I used WDW Bayberry, 00557 Mill Hill beads and some gold buttons that I found at Joanns. A little late for St. Patty's day, but oh well.

Lesley's March biscornus

I've stitched two biscornus this month - one has been sent to my partner in the Tiny Treasures Exchange, the other will be landing in my basket!

Spring flowersP3111095

The yellow one has now arrived in the USA with my exchange partner, the blue one will be landing in my basket!

I feel it's a bit like cheating not to be stitching a traditional biscornu - that's why I've included photos here of both!

Tatiana (Arya)'s February biscornu

Joanne's March Biscornu

A freebie from Feerie found here http://www.feerie.co.uk/index/FreeCharts.html

Thanks for looking

Sue's (Quirky) March Biscornu

This is my March biscornu. I have not seen snow for forty years and have a fantasy version what it is like….just like the Christmas movies….all light and fluffy….not the reality I’ve seen on people’s blogs this year in Europe and the US! The design is “Snow” by Mari McDonald of Whispered by the Wind. (http://www.whisperedbythewind.com/) It was stitched on 18 count aida using 4020 DMC floss. Chaos and I will be taking a trip down the road and round the corner with a detour to the coffee shop then on to the beading shop over the holidays to find a suitable bead to fill in the dimple.

Terry's March Biscornu

Well, I think I'm trying for a monthly seasonal on my biscornus. So, since it was March, I decided to go with St. Patrick's Day as a theme. This is one that I got from The Gift of Cross Stitching online mag that I subscribe to. I changed out the colors and used a Waterlilies on the green with 2 skeins of NPI silk for the purple and yellow. It was a new experience for me to work with the NPI silks as I had never used them before and wanted to see if I liked them and wanted to use on another major project I'll be starting soon. Plus, I've got to run out and get some more stuffing as I've run out! And off to see what I want to do for an Easter Biscornu, and once again, I won't be peeking at all the wonderful biscornus until I make a decision on what I want to do because you guys pick out such nice designs that I wish I could stitch them all.

Gaby´s March Biscornu

...a Just Nan Biscornu with two different linen colors, I stitched two of her freebies.

March Biscornu Rosemary

I noticed that Tracy asked us to title our posts like the above format, so I made a sticky note to remind me :). I saw this B on another site last year and have been wanting to make it ever since. It has a very light delicate look as the firefly charm seems to float over the blossoms. I attached the center firefly charm with a loop of petite beads. Fabric: 28ct linen waterlilly?, Pattern: Elizabeth Little leaf Designs, used suggested fibers; Charms: center dragonfly came with the pattern and I bought extra from my local bead shop for the 4 corners, not the same but close enough; Beads: MH petite #42036 along the edge and I used 1 bead for each whip stitch; Center buttons were found in my stash. I makes me think of summer...

Yoyo March posting

I'm posting this picture of my March biscornu..........

Yeah, right! Sorry, it's going out for an exchange this month so I don't want to let the cat out of the bag but I didn't want to miss posting for the Basket of Biscornu March challenge. I'll un-blur the pic when my partner receives the package.

Sally's March Biscornu

For this month I decided upon a design from the Shepherd's Bush leaflet Pillow Flock. This one is called Woolwork Sheep and it is brilliant for a biscornu! It's stitched on 14 count Silkweaver Solo aida using DMC. I sent this as a PIF to someone!

I used dmc rayon floss and two shades of Czech 11/o pearl beads.
Here are all 15 patterns for every square, each unique and beautiful.

Pirjo's February Biscornu

Finally, here it is! It is still missing the uttons, beacuse I have just the ones somewhere... but where. But it looks ok without them, too, doesn't it?

March Biscornu-Purity and Passion

My March biscornu is Purity and Passion, a design from Olenka's Stitches. It's stitched on 28ct. Cashel using DMC floss for all stitching except the bullion roses which use Threadworx floss. This was a pleasure to stitch, the colours are cheerful and remind me that Spring is not to far away.
